PRIMEX Wins Its First ADB-funded PMC Contract in Central Asia

PRIMEX was awarded by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MOHSPP) of the Republic of Tajikistan the Project Implementation and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Support contract for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Grant-funded Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care Project (G0627-TAJ) on 15 July 2020. The assignment will involve the provision of support to MOHSPP and the Project Administration Group (PAG) in the planning and implementation of Project activities and the development of M&E tools and instruments. The contract is PRIMEX’s first project management consultancy (PMC) contract in Central Asia. The PRIMEX Consortium is composed of Koei Research & Consulting (KRC), Japan, and CAI Consulting Tajikistan LLC (CAICO).

We are very happy that our consultancy contract with MOHSPP/PAG has been signed. If not for the pandemic, I could have traveled to Dushanbe to sign the contract in person,” said Ms. Elvira Ablaza, PRIMEX President and CEO, in an email to PAG when she received the news that the contract has been signed by the Minister of Health and Mr. Sulton Imomov, Managing Director of CAICO, whom PRIMEX authorized to sign the contract on its behalf.

The PRIMEX Team will be fielding 13 consultants (9 international and 3 national) led by Dr. Vincent de Wit, Team Leader/Health Systems, and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. Dr. de Wit has been a PRIMEX consultant in several projects. He retired from ADB as Lead Professional for Health several years ago.
