Sector Experience
PRIMEX’s wealth of experience in irrigation and water resources management (WRM) sector has enabled us to help local partners meet their goals in rural and urban development.
Since our establishment in 1989, we have provided technical assistance to various ministries and government agencies to improve irrigation and water resources management, which has increased farm productivity and farmer income.
Our engagements range from project preparation to project implementation, midterm or project completion review, and post-performance audit. PRIMEX also provides technical assistance to project executing and implementing agencies in institutional strengthening and project management.
For instance, since 2012, we have worked with the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) in Cambodia in the implementation of three loan-funded projects (two ADB, one JICA) to rehabilitate, modernize, and climate-proof irrigation systems. We also trained farmer water user communities in the operation and maintenance (O&M) of irrigation systems.
PRIMEX has also worked with national and local governments in the Philippines in the preparation of concept designs for surface water development in selected rivers, as well as concept designs for water supply and sanitation in non-operational water districts. We have also developed knowledge products to raise awareness on inclusive sanitation and technological innovations.
