The management and staff of PRIMEX are celebrating the company’s 31st anniversary through a small but meaningful Zoom gathering today from its headquarters in Manila. Chairman Ryohei Ishii will join virtually from Bangkok and Vietnam Country Manager, Bui Van Thanh, will connect from Hanoi.
“We are thankful for all the blessings bestowed upon PRIMEX and all its staff and consultants and we continue to pray for grace as we start our 31st year. Last year, we had a grand celebration with our friends and supporters to celebrate a milestone in PRIMEX’s history. We also announced our transition as a company under the Oriental Consulting Group of Tokyo, Japan, a formidable player in the management consulting industry. It was a big move for a boutique consulting firm like us. But we chose to do it because we wanted to get out of our comfort zone and pursue our dreams to expand, particularly in South and Central Asia.”
Ms. Elvira C. Ablaza, PRIMEX President and CEO
“The unprecedented challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic have tested our resolve to achieve our vision. First, it has brought the PRIMEX family closer as we prioritized the health and well-being of our staff. Second, we adapted and moved 90% of our operations remotely. Third, we constantly shared insights and learning on how we can grow together even if we are physically apart and how we can better serve our clients in spite of the challenges. This means strengthening our partnerships and learning to be more flexible and adaptable while delivering the same excellent service. This mindset of getting out of our comfort zone has enabled us to grow. This year, we added Afghanistan as the 37th country in our project portfolio. This is a big achievement for us as we slowly expand in Central Asia,” said Ablaza.
PRIMEX was founded on 7 August 1989. From 2013 to 2017, and again from 2015 to 2019, PRIMEX was ranked the No. 1 Philippines-registered consulting firm doing business with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
