PRIMEX President and CEO named as “Most Influential Woman” in Management Consulting in the Philippines

APAC Businesswoman Awards honored Ms. Elvira C. Ablaza, PRIMEX President and CEO, as one of the powerful business women in the world working tirelessly to break down barriers with their devotion and innovation. The recognition was published in APAC Insider’s website on 1 August 2017. The website is a resource for more than 160,000 leaders and decision makers in Asia and the Pacific. Ms. Ablaza is the only awardee from the Philippines. The other five winners came from Singapore, Indonesia, New Zealand, Switzerland and represented the healthcare training, maternity care, recruitment consulting, transport rental, and telecommunications industries.

“This award is a huge honor not just for me, but for PRIMEX. It validates the hard work that we have put in to make the company a bastion of excellence in the management consulting industry. I am also delighted that the award came just in time for PRIMEX’s 28thanniversary celebration on August 7. We have a lot to be proud of and thankful for.”

The journey of PRIMEX’s top gun to reach the pinnacle of her profession has been filled with triumphs over tremendous challenges. Ms. Ablaza founded the firm in 1989 with four employees and set up the company’s first office at the garage of her ancestral home. She envisioned that the firm would be number one in the Asia-Pacific region, and she did not let anything hold her back.

“I was determined to succeed. I was never intimidated by the fact that the management consulting industry is highly competitive and male-dominated. I think it is even advantageous that I am a woman because charisma is important in this business. I knew I had that and I used it together with my passion for excellence and my leadership skills to achieve my goals for PRIMEX,” she said. “People say that PRIMEX is very courageous. We believe in our strengths, and we are not afraid to venture outside our comfort zone. Our foundation is strong, and we know we can weather the ups and downs in this industry. We are ready to compete with the best of the best.”
