PRIMEX consultant, Dr. Jose Rodriguez, was selected by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on 15 July 2021 to serve as the Senior Public Health Specialist/Deputy Team Leader for the Transaction Technical Assistance (TRTA) for Strengthening Health Security in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Project (TA-6543 PRC).
The proposed project will aim to improve the management of epidemics of infectious diseases and other health hazards. It will be aligned with the capacity for early warning, risk reduction, and management of national health risks strengthened and prevention and control of major communicable diseases strengthened.

He added that PRIMEX will be in a very good position to participate and meaningfully contribute to future health projects of ADB if this project becomes successful.
The approved technical assistance was a result of the request of the PRC through the National Development and Reform Commission for an investment project to strengthen health security in the country.
