PRIMEX wins new contract for the JICA-funded Environmental and Social Baseline Survey for Capacity Development Project for the BangsamoroPRIMEX recently signed a contract with RECS International, Inc. (Japan) to conduct an Environmental and Social Baseline Survey (ESBS) for the Capacity Development Project for the Bangsamoro, which is funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Survey results will be used in the formulation of a Strategic Environmental Assessment that will, in turn, inform the preparation of an Integrated Regional Development Plan for the Bangsamoro Territory. Ms. Elvira C. Ablaza, PRIMEX President and CEO, signed the contract with Ms. Mihoko Uramoto, Environment and Project Evaluation Specialist of RECS International, on 16 December 2014. On behalf of PRIMEX Management, Ms. Ablaza thanked RECS International for the opportunity to implement the survey and assured Ms. Uramoto that the Survey Team will be able to deliver the expected outputs on time and within budget. On her part, Ms. Uramoto said that they selected the PRIMEX proposal out of four bids based on the quality of the proposal and the high caliber of the nominated specialists. She said that she has no doubt that the project will run smoothly and accomplish its objectives. Mr. Luis P. Eleazar will lead the survey team composed of Mr. Felix Noel A. Pascua, Jr., Natural Environment Specialist; Mr. Rizalino M. Barandino, Social Environment Specialist; Ms. Amida Diwata M. Jasma, Natural Environment Assistant; and Mr. Arnold D. Garzon, Social Environment Assistant. The ESBS will run until 15 March 2015 and will be carried out in the proposed Bangsamoro Core Territory.  ]]>
