Detailed Narrative Description of Project:

The SWITS Project aimed to maximize road usage by reducing vehicle volume and improving traffic flow along Metro Manila’s major thoroughfares, particularly EDSA. It aimed to establish integrated transport terminals to provide effective interconnections between different transport modes and services, thereby ensuring efficient and seamless travel for the commuting public.

The project was constructed within an area of 4.59 hectares (ha). It connected passengers coming from the Cavite side to other transport systems, such as the future Light Rail Transit Line 1 South Extension, city bus, taxi, and other public utility vehicles that are serving inner Metro Manila. The project includes passenger terminal buildings, arrival, and departure bays, public information systems, ticketing, and baggage handling facilities, and park-ride facilities.

PRIMEX provided the services of six key specialists who played the role of Independent Consultants responsible for: (i) review of detailed designs of the facilities, (ii) supervision of construction of civil works and commissioning of equipment, and (iii) review of deliverables of the Concessionaire under the Concession Agreement.

The PRIMEX Team consisted of electrical and structural engineers, surveyors, and environment and legal specialists.
