Detailed Narrative Description of Project:
ADB’s Central West Social Sector Division (CWSS), which covers the operations in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, engaged a staff consultant to provide technical expertise and advice on health-related matters during the project processing and administration. Under the objectives of the assignment, the consultant is tasked to coordinate and monitor the Afghanistan novel financing project’s health component as per ADB’s project administration manual and relevant guidelines, process the Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health results-based lending (RBL) project and process the Kyrgyz Republic project on regional health security
PRIMEX is fielding a Health Expert to undertake the following activities: (i) conduct research and analysis for the processing and administration of projects, ensuring the projects respond and address the country’s needs and are aligned with the support provided by other donors, (ii) provide of inputs and technical advice for updating key project documents, (iii) support processing and administration of projects, including consultations with the health ministry and other key stakeholders including donors and (iv) assist with the preparation of presentations and other briefing materials. Moreover, the Health Expert is tasked to support ADB consultations and perform other tasks for the CWSS, assist with incorporating comments and feedback, and contribute to the work of the ADB project team.DSC-WAT and the WSG. The Specialist will work in close coordination with the ADB WSG secretariat and consultants.
